The Anita Baskervill-Harris Scholarship

 

The Twenty Pearls Foundation administers the Anita Baskerville Harris Scholarship for Xi Gamma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. to recognize scholastic achievement for graduating high school seniors.

 

Note: The deadline for the Anita Baskervill-Harris Scholarship applications is March 23, 2018.

 

Scholarship Applications Available!
Xi Gamma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. will be awarding scholarships ranging from $500 to $2,000, to outstanding African American high school seniors. The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of scholarship achievement and financial need. The scholarship award will be paid to the recipient upon proof of enrollment in a recognized and accredited four-year college or university, for the 2017-2018 academic year. The Jewell Boutte Scholarship

 

In memory of her commitment to education and in honor of her 50+ years of service in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. the Jewell Boutté scholarship was established to support the continuing education of an active, undergraduate member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. – Xi Pi chapter. The $500, one-time, grants will be awarded by the Twenty Pearls Foundation, Inc. board, based on expressed need, demonstrated community service, and completed grant application.

The Mildred Caver Grant

 

The Mildred Caver grant is established to honor the life, work, and service of Mrs. Mildred Hawthorne Caver to the Oakland community. Mrs. Caver served the children of Oakland through her 30 plus years as a school librarian in the Oakland Unified School District, her church and her community through her Christian service, and to her sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, where she served as long time chaplain to her chapter, Xi Gamma Omega.

 

The $250, one-time, grants will be awarded by the Twenty Pearls Foundation, Inc. board, based on expressed need, demonstrated community service, and completed grant application.
