Since its foundation in 2003, the Twenty Pearls Foundation has manifested its mission of community service to the Oakland community. In 2017, we awarded $17,000 in scholarships to graduating high school seniors. In addition, we conducted an annual community health fair for over 500 community members free of charge. There we promoted health awareness, financial literacy, wellness, and college/career readiness.
To finance our efforts, the Twenty Pearls Foundation will conduct three fundraising events:
Leveraging the power of our 160+ Twenty Pearls Foundation members, we continue to forge ahead and focus on taking our foundation to the next level in 2018 by:
Expanding our reach and impact within the community by offering more scholarships; and
Effectively raising awareness of the Foundation within our community with our activities.
I look forward to working with the board to continue these worthwhile endeavors. I am thankful for our supporters’ donations and the support of our network that allows us to give back to our community.
Best regards,
Cynthia
