About us
The Twenty Pearls Foundation, Inc. was established in 2003 by the members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Xi Gamma Omega Chapter in Oakland Ca. The purpose of the non-profit 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization is to expand the reach, increase impact and deliver more abundantly on the sorority’s mission to provide “Service to All Mankind.”
The Twenty Pearls Foundation, Inc. is committed to leading efforts to address some of the most critical needs of the Oakland community through community based events focused on health and wellness, economic empowerment and impact, higher education and the arts. In addition to our community events and service programs, the foundation awards scholarships annually to graduating seniors who are enrolled in a four year college or university.

Welcome to the Twenty Pearls Foundation!
If you landed here, it means we share a common interest to support the Oakland community through scholarship and service. The Twenty Pearls Foundation has been committed to being supreme in service to all mankind since its founding in 2003. Our commitment is fulfilled when we provide scholarships to college bound graduating seniors, host community events that are focused on the family, health and wellness, protecting our environment, social justice, and giving back to our local community. Your generous contributions make this possible and for that we are extremely grateful for your support over the years and look forward to deepening our impact.
We are committed to work that helps bridge the economic gap for students, and supports small, black and women-owned businesses. This is where we need you! Over the next two years, we have an audacious goal to raise at least $50,000 each year. Our last goal of this magnitude was $40,000 and, with your support, we well exceeded our targets so we know that we can do it!
We invite you to explore the site, read about our history and learn about upcoming events for you to meet some of the dynamic women in the Foundation. As you evaluate your annual giving strategy, we hope you will consider the Twenty Pearls Foundation.
